Product Development Manager

About Us: We are a budding confectionery business dedicated to crafting innovative, high-quality snacks that delight our customers. We are looking for a creative and experienced Product Development Manager to lead our new product development efforts from concept through to launch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end development of new confectionery products, including research, concept development, formulation, and production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, production) to ensure successful product launches.
• Conduct market research and analyze consumer trends to identify new product opportunities and improvements for existing products.
• Develop and refine recipes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Manage timelines and budgets for product development projects.
• Ensure the sensory, quality, and shelf-life requirements are met for all products.
• Work closely with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and packaging materials.
• Oversee product testing and quality assurance processes.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitive products.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in product development, preferably in the confectionery or food industry.
• Strong knowledge of ingredient functionality, formulation, and food safety regulations.
• Creativity and passion for developing innovative and marketable products.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively across departments.
• Bachelor’s degree in food science, food technology, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with product development from concept to commercialization in the confectionery industry.
• Knowledge of sustainable and health-conscious ingredient trends.
• Experience with sensory evaluation techniques and consumer testing.
