Job Profile

  • Plan and execute material procurement activities, including forecasting demand, issuing purchase orders, and scheduling deliveries to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging supplies for production needs.
  • Monitor inventory levels, consumption rates, and lead times to maintain adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts, and establish strong relationships to support supply chain reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
  • Coordinate with production, logistics, and quality assurance teams to address material availability issues, production scheduling conflicts, and quality concerns in a timely manner.
  • Utilize inventory management systems and software tools to track inventory transactions, monitor stock levels, and generate reports for management review.
  • Implement inventory control measures, such as cycle counting, ABC analysis, and stock rotation, to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of material planning strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize supply chain efficiency and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Support new product launches, promotions, and seasonal demand fluctuations by coordinating material requirements and production schedules with cross functional teams.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards, and maintain accurate documentation of procurement activities and supplier relationships.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in material planning, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the food manufacturing or retail industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and ERP systems.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.- Knowledge of inventory management principles, supply chain logistics, and procurement best practices.
